Using long weapons around VIPs can be tricky, to say the least.  Add vehicles or tight spaces and the skills required jump off the chart.  We are not talking about sending a few rounds down range in a dusty field.  High-precision shooting and moving to counter your threats takes time and training.  Don’t be so busy in operations that your team doesn’t get to hone their relative skills on a regular basis.
